Keith professed his belief and faith in Christ at the age of 12 and was baptized at Southwestern Baptist Church in 1975. After completing his secondary education, Keith attended the Winston Salem State University and ultimately received his Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Concordia University in River Forest Illinois. .Keith's strong religious upbringing and sincere desire to explore the word, deeds and trials of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ coupled with his musical training has lead him to numerous spiritual and musical venues which include among other recognitions: Chief Musician for the Southwestern Baptist Church; Chief Musician for the State Choir of the National Baptist Progressive Convention; Music Coordinator at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church; a recording contract with Island Records, UK; and most recently, Minister of Music for the Hermon Baptist Church. His love of the Ministry of God and music further inspired him to bring gospel music and the Word of God to the Cook County Correctional Center, Women's Division from 1996 to 1999. . Pastor Edwards also ministers to the residents of the Lincoln Park Nursing Home on a regular basis.

Keith was married to his lovely wife, Rosemary, in 1993. Rosemary is constantly by his side and exemplifies the role of the virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31:10. In 2004, Keith received his divine calling to the Ministry at the Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Alvin J. Wesley. He was ordained into the Ministry in 2006. After receiving his calling, Reverend Edwards studied at the Chicago Baptist Institute and is currently enrolled in the Northern Theological Baptist Institute where he is pursuing his Masters in Divinity.

Reverend Keith L. Edwards was an Administrator with the Institute of Real Estate Management where he served more than 15 years. He is currently employed by the City of Chicago Public Schools and serves as a music teacher. He has dedicated his entire life to Christ and confesses that in everything that he does, his “Steps are ordered by the will of God
